Prohibits resident school districts from denying open enrollment to approved virtual schools

Requires school districts to pay for virtual instruction courses when the district does not offer the course and the credit would help students meet graduation requirements within the normal timeframe

Allows school district policies to require virtual instruction registration align with district schedules, mandate prerequisites for sequential courses, set minimum onsite course requirements, and grant discretion on paying for course retakes

Policies may not unreasonably restrict student access to virtual school options

Passed unanimously in both chambers (House 89-0, Senate 47-0)
