Expands the definition of "correctional officer" under the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) to include individuals employed by correctional facilities who are enrolled in, but have not yet completed, a state-approved correctional officer training course

Allows correctional facility employees in training to qualify for PERS correctional officer benefits before completing their certification by the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation
