Amends North Dakota Century Code section 12.1-11-03 regarding false information or reports to law enforcement officers or security officials

Maintains the existing class A misdemeanor penalty for knowingly providing false information that may interfere with investigations or materially mislead officers, and for falsely reporting crimes of violence or emergencies

Adds new requirement that on-duty law enforcement officers with probable cause to suspect someone has "vexatiously" filed a false report about another individual must report the information to the county state's attorney

Passed the House 79-12 and the Senate 47-0 during the 69th Legislative Assembly (2025 session)
