Prohibits the use of approval voting and ranked-choice voting in all elections held in North Dakota for local, state, or federal offices

Defines "approval voting" as a method where voters may select all candidates they approve of, with top vote-getters winning available seats

Defines "ranked-choice voting" as a method where voters rank candidates by preference and votes are tabulated in rounds until one candidate achieves a majority

Voids any county, city, or political subdivision ordinance—including those under home rule charters—that conflicts with the prohibition
