Legislative management shall conduct a study during the 2025-26 interim on volunteer emergency responder recruitment and retention challenges

Study covers volunteer firefighters, emergency or disaster volunteers, and community emergency response team members

Stakeholder input required from disaster emergency organizations, nonprofit associations, law enforcement representatives, emergency medical service providers, and state and local agencies

Findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation must be reported to the 70th Legislative Assembly
