Increases the lifetime benefit limit for real estate adaptations (additions, remodeling, modifications) for catastrophically injured workers from $75,000 to $150,000

Raises the lifetime benefit limit for specially equipped motor vehicles or vehicle adaptations for catastrophically injured workers from $150,000 to $200,000

Applies to workers' compensation claims under Workforce Safety & Insurance (WSI); vehicle insurance and maintenance costs remain excluded from coverage

Allows non-catastrophically injured employees to receive these benefits if WSI determines exceptional circumstances make them cost-effective and appropriate

Applies to qualifying expenditures made on or after the effective date; passed House 86-4 and Senate 45-1
