Requires respondents to surrender firearms or dangerous weapons within 24 hours when ordered by the court, with law enforcement authorized to arrest and seize weapons if the respondent fails to comply

Sets penalties for protection order violations at a Class A misdemeanor for first offense and Class C felony for second or subsequent violations following conviction

Mandates confidentiality protections for protected individuals in domestic violence and sexual assault cases, requiring names to be redacted from public records and closing hearings to the public
