Requires each North Dakota school district to have students complete one-half unit of financial literacy OR include personal finance concepts in economics or problems of democracy courses

Updates and expands the list of required personal finance topics from 8 to 10, adding retirement planning and entrepreneurship/economic concepts as new standalone requirements

Modernizes curriculum topics by replacing outdated content (checkbook mechanics, jobs for teenagers, college costs) with contemporary subjects (budgeting, investing, banking services, consumer skills, insurance, risk management)

Allows school districts to request permission from the superintendent of public instruction to use alternative courses for teaching personal finance concepts

Passed with strong bipartisan support: House vote 87-3, Senate vote 46-0
