School districts must offer human trafficking awareness and prevention instruction to each student at least once before completing grade 12, beginning no later than the 2027-28 school year

The Superintendent of Public Instruction must review and approve curriculum before districts use it, or provide districts with approved curriculum

Instruction may begin as early as grade 7 and may be integrated into existing relevant courses

Required curriculum content includes medically and legally accurate definitions of human trafficking, reporting systems information, basic identification training for at-risk individuals, and recognition of grooming signs and behavior changes

School districts may accept funds or donations to implement the program, provided any donated curriculum meets state approval requirements
