Allows the state treasurer and superintendent of public instruction to designate representatives from their offices to serve on the Teachers' Fund for Retirement board in their place

Maintains existing board composition: two active elementary/secondary teachers nominated by North Dakota United, one school administrator nominated by the ND Council of Educational Leaders, and two retired teachers nominated by the ND Retired Teachers Association

Board members who are active teachers or administrators must terminate board service if they leave their employment

Passed the Senate unanimously (47-0) and the House with strong support (75-9)
