Amends North Dakota Century Code section 47-16-20 governing when rents are payable for agricultural land, lodgings, and other rental properties

Requires that when a lodging tenant's payment is insufficient to cover both rent owed and late fees/other charges, the payment must first be applied to the outstanding rent amount

Allows tenants to override the default payment priority by specifying at the time of payment how they want funds applied

Makes technical language updates throughout the section, changing "shall be" to "is" and "are"
