Counties may choose to maintain or vacate streets and alleys in a dissolved city located within an unorganized township, following procedures under chapter 40-39

Organized townships may choose to maintain or vacate streets and alleys in a dissolved city located within their boundaries

Board of county commissioners assumes control of all dissolved city property, except streets and alleys if an organized township elects to handle them

County must employ a bonded manager to operate dissolved city property, collect charges, and pay funds to the county treasurer monthly on the first of each month
