Acceptable age verification includes digitized ID cards, government-issued identification, commercial databases, or transactional data verification systems

Entities performing age verification are prohibited from retaining any identifying information after access is granted to the material

Parents, guardians, or individuals whose data is improperly retained may sue for injunctions, compensatory and exemplary damages, and attorney fees

Internet service providers, search engines, cloud services, and app stores are exempt from liability for merely providing access to content they did not create; news-gathering organizations are also exempt
