Legislative management would study North Dakota's child care infrastructure during the 2025-26 interim to identify strengths, challenges, and policy improvement opportunities

Study must review child care availability and affordability data for each county

Examination required of public funding mechanisms including child care assistance reimbursement levels, penetration rates by county and facility, grant programs, and enhanced reimbursements for specialized training

Child care licensing and registration policies and procedures would be reviewed to identify simplification opportunities

Findings and recommendations, along with any required legislation, must be reported to the 70th Legislative Assembly
