Requires all North Dakota elementary, middle, and high school students to participate in the presidential physical fitness test as part of physical education courses

Authorizes the superintendent of public instruction to establish criteria for and exceptions to the fitness test requirement, in alignment with federal guidance

High school students must complete one-half unit of physical education each school year, with a concept-based fitness class required once every four years covering personal fitness assessment, improvement, and maintenance

Applies to both public and nonpublic schools; alternative high schools and alternative education programs are exempt from this requirement

Effective date: August 1, 2027; passed House 90-2 and Senate 43-3
