Amends Section 48-121 of Nebraska's Workers' Compensation Act to extend temporary disability compensation until permanent disability has been determined or a loss of earning capacity evaluation has been issued, rather than ending when permanent disability becomes "ascertainable"

Requires employers to provide 30 days' notice before terminating temporary disability benefits

Mandates employers provide copies of all evidence relied upon when making the determination to cease temporary disability benefit payments

Entitles employees to an independent medical examination paid for by the employer if the employer relies on evidence from outside treating physicians to terminate benefits

Allows the employee to choose the independent medical examiner when disputing benefit termination decisions
