School districts must include age-appropriate instruction on the history of communism within social studies curriculum beginning with the 2027-28 school year, developed in consultation with the State Department of Education

Required instruction topics include: domestic communist movements in the U.S., atrocities committed under foreign communist regimes, comparison of communism and totalitarianism with democratic principles, the Cultural Revolution in China, Soviet Union history, mass killings under communist regimes, and religious persecution

Each school board's "committee on American civics" must ensure social studies curriculum aligns with the new communism education requirements and existing state social studies standards

State Board of Education must adopt measurable academic content standards for communism history instruction on or before January 1, 2027

Amends Nebraska Revised Statutes sections 79-724 and 79-760.01 to incorporate these requirements into existing civics education and academic standards frameworks
