Requires adult protective services officials in Nebraska to complete at least one hour of training on caring for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other dementia before their first day of employment, with current employees given 30 days to comply after the effective date

Mandates training cover psychiatric and behavioral symptoms, respectful communication methods, safety issues including wandering, identifying abuse and self-neglect, and alerting law enforcement to potential criminal behavior or exploitation

Requires officials to complete the dementia training once every five years as ongoing professional development

Authorizes the department to collaborate with private nonprofit organizations that have expertise in Alzheimer's and dementia care to provide the required training

Amends Nebraska Revised Statutes sections 28-348 and 28-350 to add a formal definition of "adult protective services official" as a department employee who develops and implements adult protective services
