Raises the mandatory retirement age for Nebraska State Patrol officers from 60 to 65 years old, while maintaining the optional retirement age at 50 for officers meeting service requirements

Removes the prohibition that prevented officers who became members on or after July 1, 2016 from participating in the Deferred Retirement Option Plan (DROP)

DROP allows eligible officers to continue working up to 5 years after reaching normal retirement eligibility while their retirement benefits accumulate in a separate investment account

Officers must have attained normal retirement age and completed 25 years of service to enter DROP, and retirement benefits are fixed at the date of DROP election

Amends sections 81-2025 and 81-2041 of the Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska
