Department of Health and Human Services must submit a state plan amendment to the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services no later than October 1, 2026

Coverage would apply to long-acting injectable and extended-release medications approved by the FDA for treating serious mental illness or substance use disorder

Medications must be administered in a hospital, emergency department, or inpatient setting, including state hospitals or state psychiatric facilities

Amends section 68-911 of the Revised Statutes Supplement, 2025, which governs medical assistance coverage under Nebraska's Medicaid program
