Transfers administration of the Nebraska Visitors Development Act from the Nebraska Tourism Commission to the Department of Economic Development, effective July 1, 2026

Creates a Director of Tourism position within the Department of Economic Development, appointed by and serving at the pleasure of the Director of Economic Development

Restructures the Nebraska Tourism Commission from an administering body to an advisory role, reducing its functions to advising the department, electing officers, recommending a Director of Tourism, providing public input opportunities, and maintaining records

Commission membership remains at 13 members (Director of Economic Development plus 12 Governor-appointed residents from 11 geographic districts and one state chamber of commerce representative)

Renames the "Nebraska Tourism Commission Promotional Cash Fund" to the "Nebraska Tourism Promotional Cash Fund" and maintains existing funding mechanisms including 10% of cash device gaming tax revenue
