Health insurers, their contracted vendors, and care management organizations are prohibited from requiring credit card as the only acceptable payment method for payments to health care providers

Applies to all payments issued for health care services on or after January 1, 2027

Ensures health care providers have alternative payment options (such as check or electronic funds transfer) when receiving reimbursements from insurers
