Eliminates the statute of limitations for civil actions against individuals who directly committed sexual assault of a child (violations of sections 28-319.01 or 28-320.01) for offenses occurring on or after August 24, 2017, or earlier if not previously time-barred

Removes the previous 12-year limitation (from the plaintiff's 21st birthday) for civil actions against third parties such as organizations or entities other than the direct perpetrator

Extends unlimited filing time to actions against any person or entity for child sexual assault violations occurring on or after the act's effective date, or earlier if not previously time-barred

Clarifies that exceptions exist for claims under the State Tort Claims Act and Political Subdivisions Tort Claims Act

Criminal prosecution of the defendant is not required to pursue a civil action for these violations
