Director of Correctional Services must provide educational services and programming to incarcerated individuals under 21 years of age who have not earned a high school diploma or equivalency

Special education services must be provided as required by state law for eligible individuals under 21

Educational services must meet minimum standards set by the State Department of Education, including a core curriculum of language arts, social science, science, and mathematics

Optional subjects may include vocational education, computer education, arts, and physical fitness, delivered by the department or through partnerships with educational institutions

State Board of Education may adopt rules and regulations to ensure educational services meet applicable requirements
