Establishes a tiered registration fee structure for alternative fuel vehicles in Nebraska, with motorcycles and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles paying $75 and most other alternative fuel vehicles paying $150

Creates a new higher fee for commercially registered alternative fuel vehicles weighing more than 7,500 pounds gross weight: three times the standard fee ($450)

Exempts commercial vehicles registered under section 60-3,198 (apportioned/interstate registration) from the higher commercial vehicle fee

Directs all collected fees to be remitted by county treasurers to the State Treasurer for credit to the Highway Trust Fund

Approved by the Governor on February 9, 2026, amending section 60-3,191 of the Revised Statutes
