Eliminates the mandatory minimum 9-month post-release supervision requirement for Class III and Class IIIA felonies when imprisonment is imposed

Class III felonies carry a maximum of 4 years imprisonment and 2 years post-release supervision or a $25,000 fine; Class IIIA felonies carry a maximum of 3 years imprisonment and 18 months post-release supervision or a $10,000 fine

Under current law, if a judge imposes imprisonment for these felony classes, a minimum 9-month post-release supervision period is required; this bill makes post-release supervision entirely discretionary

Amends Section 28-105 of the Nebraska Revised Statutes, which establishes the penalty structure for all ten felony classes in the state
