Gubernatorial appointments to state boards, commissions, and similar entities that remain vacant for 6 months or more may trigger legislative action, allowing the committee of jurisdiction to accept applications and forward recommendations to the Governor

If a seat remains vacant for an additional 3 months after recommendations are forwarded to the Governor (9 months total vacancy), the Executive Board of the Legislative Council may make the appointment directly

Amends section 50-1301 of the Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska to add these new legislative powers regarding unfilled appointments
