Expands the definition of "child" under the In the Line of Duty Dependent Education Act to include stepchildren of Nebraska law enforcement officers or firefighters killed in the line of duty

Stepchildren are now eligible for the same education benefits at Nebraska community colleges, state colleges, and state universities as biological and adopted children

Eligible children may be residents or nonresidents of Nebraska to qualify for the education benefit
