Adds a new exception allowing elementary schools to suspend pre-K through 2nd grade students who engage in violent behavior capable of causing physical harm to another student or school employee, in addition to the existing exception for bringing deadly weapons to school

Expands required documentation for short-term suspensions to include: actions the school took to address behavior before considering suspension, resources available to assist the student, and an actionable plan to keep the student in school

Requires principals to make reasonable efforts to hold a conference with parents/guardians before or when a suspended student returns to school, with written documentation of such efforts

Adds similar documentation requirements for long-term suspension, expulsion, or mandatory reassignment notices, including school resources and actionable plans to maximize strategies for keeping students in school

Amends Nebraska Revised Statutes sections 79-265, 79-265.01, and 79-268 under the Student Discipline Act
