Prohibits compelling firefighters to submit to polygraph examinations and allows them to seek damages including attorney's fees for false complaints filed against them

Guarantees firefighters the right to safe working conditions, appropriate training and equipment, access to mental health services for job-related stress and trauma, and confidentiality of personal information

Permits firefighters to engage in political activity or run for elective office while off-duty and to access their personnel and training records at any time
