Indian tribes with jurisdiction over reservation lands receive first right of refusal to purchase state school lands listed for sale within their reservation boundaries from the Board of Educational Lands and Funds

Indian tribes also receive first right of refusal to lease school lands available for lease within their reservation boundaries

The Board of Educational Lands and Funds may, with Governor approval, enter agreements with Indian tribes to sell or exchange state educational lands for other lands of equal area or value

For sales or exchanges of school lands within reservation boundaries, the Board must determine the transaction is not detrimental to any state interest before proceeding

Amends sections 72-212, 72-232, and 72-253 of Nebraska statutes and adopts definitions for "Indian reservation" and "Indian tribe" from existing state law
