Amends Section 79-1204 of Nebraska Revised Statutes to remove the word "the" from the description of educational service units' role and mission, changing it from "the role and mission of the educational service units" to "role and mission of educational service units"

Educational service units continue to serve as educational service providers for Nebraska's elementary and secondary education system

Core services must be provided in priority order: (1) staff development including support for students in poverty and diverse backgrounds, (2) technology and distance education, and (3) instructional materials services

ESUs may contract to provide services to nonmember public school districts, nonpublic schools, other ESUs, and other public agencies under the Interlocal Cooperation Act and Joint Public Agency Act

ESU boards may pay membership dues in associations of school boards or boards of education from their funds
