Appropriates $100,000 from the Site and Building Development Fund to the Department of Economic Development for fiscal year 2026-27 to award a food distribution grant

Creates a new eligible use of fund money: grants to nonprofit organizations for food distribution in counties with populations between 100,000 and 300,000 inhabitants

Amends sections 81-12,146 and 81-12,147 of the Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska to add the food distribution grant category to existing eligible activities

Grant eligibility is determined by the most recent federal decennial census or most recent certified count by the U.S. Census Bureau
