Law enforcement officers in Nebraska would be prohibited from wearing facial coverings (balaclavas, tactical masks, ski masks, etc.) or personal disguises while performing their duties

Officers must wear appropriate identification displaying their name, badge number, and employing agency's name or initials

Exemptions allow facial coverings for covert/undercover operations, airborne disease prevention, bodily fluid protection, smoke/toxin exposure, high-risk situations (shootouts, hostage situations), underwater activities, motorcycle helmet use, and protection from retinal weapons like lasers

The definition of "law enforcement officer" includes state and local police, federal officers, National Guard members activated during emergencies, and anyone acting on their behalf

Violations constitute a Class III misdemeanor
