Requires all interscholastic athletic teams at public schools, private schools competing against public schools, and postsecondary institutions to be designated as male, female, or coed/mixed

Prohibits male students from participating on teams designated for females, women, or girls; female students may join male teams only if no female team exists for that sport

Requires students to provide doctor-signed documentation confirming their sex to participate on sex-designated teams

Prohibits government entities, licensing organizations, and athletic associations from taking adverse action against schools for maintaining separate female athletic teams

Individuals born with disorders or differences in sex development receive protections under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990
