Persons alleged to be incapacitated have the right to attend guardianship hearings virtually or in person, and wards/protected persons have the right to attend conservatorship hearings virtually or in person

Guardians must monitor their ward through quarterly personal contact (in person or virtual), maintain written records of each visit, and make reasonable efforts to ensure the ward can attend all hearings related to their guardianship

Guardians and conservators cannot accept permanent appointments if they already serve as guardian or conservator for 20 or more individuals; temporary appointments do not count toward this limit, and the limit does not apply to corporate entities serving as conservators

Courts may award costs and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, to any party in guardianship or conservatorship proceedings, to be paid by another party or from the trust at issue

Amends Nebraska Probate Code sections 30-2619, 30-2623, 30-2628, 30-2636, and 30-2655 regarding court appointment, removal, resignation, and powers of guardians and conservators
