Nebraska Legislature congratulates Charles "Chuck" Scripter for receiving the American Heroes Award and Excellence in Community Service Award from the Sioux Lookout Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution

Scripter served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan

After military service, worked as an electrician and later manager for a telephone company in Omaha and Lexington while attending night school, and helped start a homeless shelter in Lexington

Volunteer service includes helping build 64 homes, responding to 35 disasters, delivering blood, and providing hospice companionship at Brookestone Home Health and Hospice

Resolution directs that a copy be sent to Charles "Chuck" Scripter
