Study will evaluate opportunities and barriers to accessing nonopioid pain management treatments for Medicaid recipients

Committee will assess benefits and risks of opioid use compared to nonopioid alternatives

Investigation will examine potential Medicaid cost savings from nonopioid treatments through reduced opioid addiction and overdose deaths

Committee required to report findings and recommendations to the Legislative Council or Legislature upon study completion
