Nebraska Legislature congratulates Gary Sadlemyer on nearly 50 years at KFAB radio network, following his retirement on December 12, 2025

Sadlemyer began his radio career at KFAB in 1976 as a Minnesota native

Notable coverage during his tenure included the September 11 World Trade Center attacks, the Von Maur shooting, and the 1997 snowstorm where he served as a lifeline for affected listeners

Sadlemyer will remain available as a substitute for his replacement and continue to be present at the station
