Legislative resolution recognizing Steve Hornady of Grand Island as recipient of the Distinguished NEBRASKAlander Award, to be presented February 28, 2026, at the annual Statehood Day Dinner

Steve Hornady joined Hornady Manufacturing Company in 1971 and became president in 1981, growing the ammunition manufacturer into an industry leader in product development and workforce expansion

Donated over $1 million to cancer research through the GRACE Cancer Foundation and American Cancer Society, pledged $1 million to Grand Island YWCA's Child Development Center in 2025, and contributed $100,000 toward a state veterans cemetery in Grand Island

Received numerous honors including NRA Golden Bullseye Pioneer Award (2013), Ken Sedlecky Lifetime Achievement Award (2024), and induction into Nebraska Business Hall of Fame with his family (2024)

Resolution directs that a copy be sent to Steve Hornady in recognition of his contributions to industry, community, and philanthropy
