Legislature extends condolences to the family, friends, and community of Herman Colvin, who passed away February 24, 2025, at age 75

Colvin served four years in the U.S. Air Force with the 544th Intelligence Squadron at Offutt Air Force Base and later earned a degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha

Began career in public education in 1980 and became dean at Bellevue West High School in 2014

Served on multiple community boards including the Offutt Advisory Council, Bellevue Community Foundation, Nebraska Greats Foundation, Omaha Home for Boys, Omaha Public Schools Foundation, and Westside State Bank

Helped create annual community events including Bellevue Rocks, Olde Towne Trick or Treat, and Christmas Drive
