Honors the memory of Don Wesely, who served in the Nebraska Legislature from 1979 to 1999 and was elected at age 24, chairing the Rules, Retirement, Economic Development, and Health and Human Services Committees

Recognizes Wesely's service as the 49th Mayor of Lincoln, where he oversaw the opening of Haymarket Park stadiums and won approval for the $200 million Antelope Valley Project

Notes his mayoral accomplishments including opening two libraries, two public pools, two parks, acquiring 300 additional acres of parkland, and building 12 new miles of trails

Extends the Legislature's sympathy and condolences to Wesely's family following his death on March 19, 2025

Directs that a copy of the resolution be sent to the Wesely family
