Allows towns and school districts to vote to hold their election of officers on the same date as the state primary election, beginning with the September 2028 primary

Requires municipalities or school districts adopting this option to notify the secretary of state in writing by December 31 of the year before the first combined election

Deliberative sessions, budget meetings, and other required meetings would continue on their normal dates; only the officer elections would shift to the primary date

State will reimburse towns and school districts for all direct costs of conducting local elections held on state primary day, including ballots, election official compensation, polling place expenses, and voter notification

State treasurer must establish a dedicated budget line item to fund the reimbursements, with the secretary of state setting rules for the claims process
