NH HB1118

Increases the threshold for daily remittance of funds to municipal treasurers from $500 to $3,500 for town departments and from $1,500 to $3,500 for treasurers, tax collectors, and town clerks

Requires town treasurers to deposit funds at least weekly, or daily when collective remittances from all departments reach $3,500 or more (previously $1,500)

Applies the same $3,500 threshold to tax collectors remitting money to town treasurers and to city officials/town clerks remitting vehicle permit fees

Maintains existing penalties for failure to remit funds timely, including immediate removal from office

Takes effect 60 days after passage
