Changes how towns vote on adopting or rescinding the official ballot referendum form of meeting (SB 2) by requiring the question to be voted on using official ballot procedures with standard polling requirements

Eliminates the previous method where the adoption question was voted on by separate ballot after discussion, with polls open for at least one hour after discussion ended

Requires votes on adopting SB 2 to follow established election procedures in RSA 669:19-29, RSA 670:5-7, and RSA 671:20-30, including absentee voting, polling place, and polling hour requirements

Removes the provision that specifically placed the rescission question on the official ballot, aligning the process for rescinding with the new adoption procedures

Takes effect 60 days after passage
