NH HB1266

Allows election officials who are candidates for office (other than election official positions) to remain within the guardrails during vote counting, provided they are not involved in tabulating votes for races in which they are candidates

Requires disqualified election officials to recuse themselves only from duties related to tabulating votes in their own races, rather than being excluded from the counting area entirely

Permits the moderator to assign disqualified election officials to other non-tabulation duties while remaining in the designated counting area

Clarifies that moderators specifically may reside within the guard rails and perform other duties of their office during vote counting

Takes effect 60 days after passage
