Revises educational requirements for acupuncture licensure to accept an associate's degree or minimum of 60 credit hours at an accredited postsecondary institution, instead of requiring a baccalaureate degree

Adds one certified acupuncture detoxification specialist to the Board of Acupuncture Licensing, appointed by the governor with advice and consent of the council

Removes the July 1, 2017 date restriction on the NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) training protocol definition, allowing the current standardized auricular acupuncture protocol to apply

Limits the general supervision requirement for certified acupuncture detoxification specialists to the first 2 years of certification, after which supervision is no longer required

Takes effect 60 days after passage
