Expands the right to use physical force in self-defense to include situations where unlawful force is likely to be used against a third person, not just the actor themselves

Extends the protected locations where defensive force may be used to include vehicles, in addition to the existing protections for dwellings and curtilage

Applies specifically to scenarios involving the commission of a felony against the actor or a third person within these protected locations

Takes effect January 1, 2027
