Allows residents domiciled in a school district to petition their local school board to conduct a forensic audit when the district has a budget deficit

Requires petitions to contain names, addresses, and signatures of 1% of registered voters within the school district to qualify

Mandates the school board hold a vote on whether to conduct the audit upon receiving a qualifying petition

Requires any approved forensic audit to be completed within 90 days, with results presented at the first available school board meeting to determine the cause(s) of the budget deficit

Takes effect 60 days after passage
