NH HB1424

Establishes a new process for serving summons to law enforcement officers, law enforcement agency employees (full-time or part-time), and public officials (elected or appointed) to testify or give depositions

Allows service of summons by reading it to the person, giving it directly to them, or delivering an attested copy to their agency or organization's office address

Requires payment or tender of fees for travel to and from the required location, plus one day's attendance, at the time of service

Takes effect January 1, 2027
